Our office disposes about modern examination and treatment options. The doctor and colleges regularly take part at further education and advanced training, in order to stay informed about current and up to date methods of treatment. These methods are applied, as long as they are for the benefit of the patient.

Your doctor can do more for you

Many methods are covered by the insurance, but unfortunately not everything.

There are some medically reasonable, preventive measures and services (considering the preventive and health maintenance medicine), which are not included into the services of your insurance. The patient has to cover the accounting costs by himself. The bill is based and created on the rules of the fee schedule for doctors (GOÄ).

If you are interested in doing more for your health and well-being, than the insurance covers, talk to us and we will give you advice on further treatment possibilities.

Some examples for meaningful additional services

When and why is it useful?

Ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs

Meaningful addition to the annual cancer screening (Krebsvorsorge). Highly recommended to be carried out annually, as for not all changes in the internal genital organs can be determined by only making test examinations. The uterus and the ovaries are located far under the layer of fat of the abdominal wall and the intestines, and therefore sometimes not exactly felt, even by very slim women (for example with intestinal distension or abdominal tension).

This examination is done using an ultrasound device, which is equipped with a suitable for a Uterus ultrasound head. With help of this ultrasound probe, which is inserted through the vagina and directly being attached to the cervix, one can determine the untouchable tumours of the uterus or even the ovaries. We can also determine premature mucosa! changes of the uterus, in order for you to receive a faster treatment, which guarantees a better outlook for healing.

This examination can also be very helpful by fulfilling the desire to have children, as for we can detect the exact time of ovulation. With that information, the couple will have intercourse to a more precise and optimal for conception period and so will be a step closer to their long-awaited pregnancy.

The ultrasound examination of the abdominal organs is only covered by the insurance, if a disease or illness is suspected and not for prevention or family planning.

The owner of the office has extensive experience in this area, as for she covered the entire ultrasound routine of the university women's clinic Düsseldorf, with 50-70 gynaecological ultrasounds a day, over 1,5 years.

Ultrasound examination of the mammary gland

A meaningful supplement to cancer screening especially with dense and (or) larger breasts. This ultrasound is recommended to do annually, as for first and foremost this examination is helpful for detecting and (or) preventing breast cancer. Breast cancer is currently the number one cause of death of women from the western part of the world. There is a constantly upward growing tendency. At present, every ninth woman gets breast cancer.

Not all changes of the mammary gland can be detected through only palpating examination. In particular, if a mastopathy (dense breasts with a knotty consistency) is provided, one can never rely on the palpable findings. Mastopathy is not a disease or preliminary stage of breast cancer. Mastopathy is widely spread among women and is detected by every second-third woman. The density of the mammary gland (with mastopathy) is usually cycle-dependent, more or less noticeable, and increases in the second half of the cycle (towards the period) significantly. That's why the best period of time for palpation examination are the days directly after the period.

This examination is done using an ultrasound device, which is equipped with a high frequency mammary-gland probe. With help of this ultrasound probe, which is placed to the skin of the breast, one can observe mastopathic changes and can then better evaluate. Also we can better determine untouchable turners of the mammary gland, in order for you to receive a faster treatment, which guarantees a better outlook for healing.

The ultrasound examination of the mammary gland is only covered by the insurance, if a disease or illness is suspected, but not for prevention reasons.

The owner of the office has extensive experience in this area, as for she wrote her dissertation about the topic "breast cancer" and led a breast consultation in the university women's clinic Düsseldorf over more than 5 years.

Our recommendations: the combination of this both examinations.

You save money and get both meaningful and important services as a supplement to cancer screening. You can first only pay for one of both ultrasounds, (for example the ultrasound for abdominal organs) and make a new appointment for the other ultrasound examination. As soon as you will come to your next appointment, you will pay the little rest.

Supplements to the cancer screening

This examination package is recommended for every woman from the age of 35-40, as this enables the most important health risks to be uncovered.

During the examination, your doctor will appeal and remind you about the so called “IGeL” — individual health services. She will individually recommend you the examination that is particularly recommended as meaningful in your case.

We offer coupons for desired examinations or the whole package cancer screening plus.
